Hallelujahs

It’s FRIDAY!!
I just had to take a moment to share this joy with the rest of the world. It’s ridiculous because today is both the start of a three day weekend and a weeklong recess here on the Hill, and everyone is deliriously happy. People I regularly see on my commute are smiling for the first time, and everyone is aggressively saying, “GOOD MORNING!” and I’m sort of thinking “Okay! Great! Don’t kill me with your glaring smile!” Seriously, even Allis was being optimistic this morning. What is the world coming to? But it’s put me in a good mood too. God is good.

A purple sky to close the day,

Beneath, the surf where dolphins play
The taste of salt, the dance of waves
And my soul wells up with hallelujahs

A lightning flash, my pounding heart,
A breaching whale, a shooting star,
Give testimony that you are
And my soul wells up with hallelujahs

O cratered moon and sparrow's wings,
A thunder's boom and Saturn's rings
Unveil our Father as you sing
And my soul wells up with hallelujahs

Oh praise Him all His mighty works
There is no language where you can't be heard
Your song goes out to all the Earth
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!
