Victory!
The Incorrigible Optimist would like to take this moment to express her utmost gratitude to The Heart and The Brain for their (hilarious) provision of Crisco, Ghirardelli chocolate morsels, and most importantly, a good recipe for Round and Firm Chocolate Chip Cookies in response to my Virginia cookie making failures (this never happened in California!), which I have posted about on this blog on several occasions.

They indeed were quite yummy AND were round AND they weren't burned AND they were equally cooked AND they came up off the pan. It was a wonderful accomplishment.
